5 Pro Tips On Using YouTube For Business And Life

The big question today is are you on YouTube? It is a treasure Trove of information that we have never had In our Lifetime, a technological advance that spans only a decade. Right now I am writing this blog via voice typing. I'm using another program to check for grammar and sentence structure. I'm literally talking to my computer to write this blog. How did I find out how to do voice typing, YouTube. I was watching a YouTube video about blogging and one of the suggestions was to use voice and write a blog as if you're just talking to somebody. What a great idea, it's easy, it's fun, and it's not going to take as long as writing everything down and getting writer's block, I can just talk. Thirty minutes later I am writing this blog.

You can learn to do anything on YouTube and I mean anything. In my own life I've used YouTube to learn how to write code on websites, search engine optimization, how to write better content, how to find keywords, how to get better ideas for my business, what are my competitors doing.

Here are a few pro tips that you need to know about YouTube search that will help you get better results.

One of the greatest and worst things about YouTube is it stores videos forever unless you delete content. Some information on YouTube can be old and out of date. For example if you're looking up how to get sales from social media the most popular videos are going to show up first and sometimes even year old information may not be relevant because its constantly changing. One of the best ways to figure out how to get the newest information is by simply typing in the year we are currently in after your search. For example what is the best social media to use in 2019. This will pull up results that were written this year. You can also do this with the filter at the top of YouTube you can filter it by Year To Date, that's also great method especially if you're at the beginning of the year in 2019 and you want to get somebody 2018 results just wanted General year that's good as well.

With YouTube, you have to sort through information because there are people who give out wonderful information and there are people who are just starting out that don't present themselves as well. You can tell when YouTube aren’t using an outline of information they're giving you and it's probably right off the cuff. You really want to follow YouTubers who give out great information that you enjoy listening to. It's a free service so anybody can join, you need to find a YouTuber that makes sense for you.

When you're learning something on YouTube it's a bit different from just chilling and watching funny videos. You want to make sure that you're watching on a different screen or you have another way to write notes and look at things online. As you're watching the YouTube video a lot of times they'll give out free little bits of information free sites free apps for other things that you're going to be interested in so write them down and explore at the same time. Having a notepad and having your computer up allows you to explore and you can pause YouTube video and learn about the app and then go back to the video that you're that you're learning from.

One of the best things you can do with engage with the videos you liked on YouTube. If you like and subscribe to videos of presenters that you enjoy that give fantastic information, YouTube is going to show you more videos like theirs. This will make it easier for you in the future when you're trying to find a specific subject you might already have a presenter you like that has created a video on the subject. These makes search easier it also highlights videos on subjects you may not have thought of.

The last Pro tip I will give is to be consistent. YouTube is a free way to invest in yourself and your own knowledge. There is no reason not to set goals for learning on YouTube once a week. Make a list of different subjects you want to learn about and set time each week to learn. You will be surprised at the knowledge you receive and make processes in your business easier.

I encourage each one of you to invest in yourself this week. Let me know in the comments what you learned. Thank you for reading!!
